We are looking for a number of Operatives to assist in all aspects of the manufacturing process of polyurethane and rubber products in our long established business, the roles include all tasks in the production area relating to the manufacture and processing of high quality products, as well as loading our own transport fleet within the warehouse department.
Duties include loading and unloading raw material into the machines through to recording information such as products produced, quality checks etc. This will involve some heavy lifting, some roles also require fork lift truck operation, the reporting of faulty equipment or problems, liaising with supervisors and engineers. You will act as a link in a chain that involves several manufacturing processes and other operators in order to ensure that the finished goods meet the Company’s standards and the expectations of our customers.
All roles involve some form of rotating shift work on 12 hr days and nights, the most common shift is 5 day 40 hours continental pattern as follows:

£28,100, rising to £30,800 with experience, of various parts of the process. Overtime is regularly available for those that want it but is voluntary, average earnings in these roles is £35,000. Wage rates are reviewed annually on 1 April each year. We offer 6.6 weeks holiday rising to over 7 weeks with service and a contributory pension and life assurance scheme.
To be considered for these roles previous experience and skills within a manufacturing/warehouse environment would be an advantage. You should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of both oral and written English in order to work effectively and safely in the factory. Health and Safety is paramount, therefore you must also be able to use your initiative to ensure safety within the workplace. You must be able to work well under pressure, able to pay good attention to detail, have good timekeeping, be able to use your initiative and be prepared to adapt and learn.
